Treasure Hunt Is Out! Early!
You heard it right! Treasure Hunt is available for download! In this post!
I am not home right now but when I get home I will add some pictures to the post so people can check out the game before you download. As my followers already know there are a few development pictures out in previous post so check those out for now.
I would also like to mention a fellow Irishman and his blog here (not available at the moment). So go check that out if you like video games, he is a freelance games journalist and has a lot of current news relating to video games.
Anyways that’s me for today don’t forget to comment on the game and leave your opinions and subscribe with the new subscribe button on the right!
Oh and please report any download issues on my Twitter or by comment!
The 23rd of June
As my twitter followers might know already Treasure hunt will be out on the 23rd of this month, which is Thursday, so be sure to come then and download it for FREE!
It is pretty much done but I want to test it a lot and do some plans for more levels which is my next project, a far bigger level than the one currently in treasure hunt. It will hopefully keep your attention for longer because unfortunately treasure hunting games don’t have a lot of replay value because you can only find things once.
That brings me on to my next idea! A system that changes the position of objects whenever you reload the game! This will vastly increase the games replay value and mean I won’t have to create as much new content.
Thanks for reading and don’t forget to leave comments!
Polish and Perfection
Hello there, some people wanted to see what post processing was being applied in our new game, Treasure Hunt. So here you go, two side by side pictures of before and after. This is about as much as I’m going to apply and I think it looks good, you never want to do too much.

Can you guys and girls tell me what you think of the effects so I can get them exactly right? the game is essentially done, all I’m doing is polishing it and making it look amazing as that was the purpose of the game for myself as my last game, Dead Lep Revenge , had a certain lacking of anything nice. It was more of an experiment but it was technically terrible so 80% of the effort in Treasure Hunt is polish and perfection!
That’s all for today! Don’t forget to comment and leave your thoughts on the post processing.
Treasure Hunt!
Hello there, I have been hard at work on my new computer making my new creation, a game simply called “Treasure Hunt” . The title is very self explanatory, there is a free-roaming world were you walk around in first person and find the required items. I plan to have the game updated with more worlds and more things to find so you guys can keep playing it!
I have been working mainly on the world and the character controller, but I have got to the stage where I can show you some stuff, so here is a collection of images from the ever-growing game.
These are from very early in the world’s creation. As you can see its very sparse and bland.
Getting more filled out with objects now.
Now the sky is in and its starting to feel better, there is an awful lot more post-processing to do and effects and coolness but it’s getting there. My deadline for release is late next week so unless chaos happens expect to see it by then.
E3, New Computer, And A Game That Will Be Finished!
This week has been so exciting with E3 and WWDC! If you haven’t been following either event here are my highlights so far.
WWDC is where Apple show of their new technology and one of their new announcements is quite important to me. As I plan on developing for iOS in the future this is relevant as its iOS 5! iPhones and iPods will run this as well as all the new apps. I don’t know very much about it so I will keep researching it.
At E3 we have seen the Wii U, Nintendo’s new console which features a touchscreen controller that can stream the television’s video feed if someone else needs the TV. This opens interesting ideas for developers but for my personal gaming hobby I don’t really like it as it will probably have a game called my horses.

On the other news that I am very excited about, the Playstation Vita! This is the “next generation portable” and it fantastic! It’s got cameras, touchscreen’s and more power than any other portable system ever! Check out this quick video for full details.
Before I can develop on any of these cool consoles I need a decent computer, which to my happiness will arrive in the next day or two. I already have many more parts and have sort of started making it. I also am working on the plans for my next big project, which will be a polished and fully finished game in 3D that may require an above average computer to run, but hopefully I can keep the requirements down! Any ways thanks for reading and don’t forget to leave comments as it’s simple and quick!
