Hello there! Continuing my quest to make my site more video related than just text I have a Blender tutorial! It’s on a really interesting subject for doing pixel art if your good at Blender but not good at 2D art, which is my problem.
On other news with all the video’s I’m making I decided the website needed to be ramped up a notch. So I will be adding a whole new section to the site dedicated to educational stuff! So please come back and keep an eye out for the changes and enjoy the video:
So here it is! Some of you were asking how to make a standalone exe for UDK made games. It not fully standalone but it doesn’t have the installer which is the important part! Enjoy, like, comment!
So its been a few days since my last post so here is the latest news over here at PG!
Well it has been spoken about but I am starting to develop for Android, not iPhones as I don’t have a Mac. I will not speak about the game but I will reveal it will be our first fully commercial project for Android phones and tablets.
Don’t worry I will still be working on the Human Cannon until somewhere in May when I will finish it up and release the full version. Development on our new game will be in full swing in the summer an so don’t expect any more details until then, also I may be a bit quite during the summer while I work on it but please keep coming back! Or follow on twitter for the latest news.
On another note I have made a follow up tutorial on doing 2D in Unity by using Owlchemy Labs’ fancy script which makes planes the same aspect ratio as a texture! Yea that sounds pretty cool watch here for the quick tip on game development.
Yup I am taking a break from art and returning to what I really, really love, making games! So over the past couple of days I have made alot of cool changes to the Human Cannon including a new launch system, a new UI rendering system and various other things. Here is the full changelog:
- Added a new ragdoll model
- Added a new Cannon Model
- Fixed UI render issues with an entirely new UI rendering system
- Added Grass to the level
- Added wind affecting the grass and trees
- Added a brand new launch system!!!
- Changed the ragdoll on the main menu
- Added a skybox
- Changed the ragdoll so it only plays bone crack once
- Changed the light angle
- Added light-maps
When you play it after you click “Fire” you have to mash away at the space bar to fill up your power bar. Have a go here. Please leave a comment with your thoughts on the game, oh and if you find a bug please leave a bug report in our new bug reporting system above!
